BM TRADA Group, the leading international multi-sector certification, testing and inspection organisation, has a strong reputation for quality that has been built up over 70 years. We are now looking for a Technical Editor / Writer which is a newly created role within our Group Publications team.
As Technical Editor / Writer, your main responsibilities will include:
- To edit and produce technical and management publications, from draft to final document in a variety of digital and print formats
- To lead on the digital production of new and existing publications
- To identify opportunities to create or adapt relevant information for targeted markets
- To deliver a profitable technical writing/publishing service
- To maintain high quality standards of technical information for Group companies
- To work closely with team members, technical staff and external suppliers to deliver multiple projects on schedule and within budget
The successful candidate will be an accomplished Technical Editor with strong technical writing abilities, combined with an extensive background in technical publishing (both digital and print) and significant experience of production or editorial management.
Excellent organisational and communication skills are vital, as are excellent English language abilities – the role requires someone with supreme attention to detail. You will also need good IT skills, and ideally have an understanding of some of the following: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, html/xml and Content Management Systems.
