Project Summary an Position Overview

The Sales and Trading desktop and platform group delivers a set of desktop components and is responsible for the hosted products infrastructure and services. There is an opened position for a Senior/Software Engineer in the Common Platform Integration Team, responsible for the devlopment and enhancement of current configuration database.

The successful candidate will be involved in the configuration and maintenance of database, namely VB then move to MSSQL. The job will focus as well on troubleshooting the current DB structure, enhancing the new configuration into database, and communicate with the new development of new Data Base struture and frontend reside at UK.

Responsibility

- Extract the design of each application and develop the configuration database to support them.

- Gather and consolidate configuration items required for the automation of the infrastructure build.

- Develop and maintain the CMDB component to support centralize configuration and inventory.

- Apply the release management process onto the CMDB feature and component.

- Write and maintain documentation related to the design and configuration.

- Work closely with the Data Center Engineering team and adjust technology standards for the Aurora needs.

- Provide Aurora users with consultancy to facilitate the migration

Qualifications

- At least 2-3 years hands-on experience as a System Engineer or Infrastructure architect work and posses the following key technical knowledge and skills :-

- Good command of English language, both oral and written

- Excellent knowledge in Windows Platform is a must

- Advanced Windows server 2003/2008 administration and configuration

- Active Directory and Domain Group Policies

- Strong knowledge of MS SQL Server and Microsoft Access and/or hierarchical database programming

- Unix Shell, VBScript, SQL language and store procedure, Microsoft Access and PowerShell scripting

- Advanced Solaris 10 administration and configuration

- Jumpstart / PXE Boot installation

- TCP/IP configuration and routing

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related fields

Nice to have in addition to the required skill

- Have technical skills below would be an advantage
- Windows Clustering / High availability

- VMware VSphere administration and configuration

- HP Blade systems

- Shared storage (NAS / SAN)

- IBM Tivoli Suite (TPM, Netcool)
