Thomson Reuters Enterprise Platform for Real-time (TREP), previously known as Thomson Reuters Market Data System (TRMDS), integrates, distributes, and adds value to information from and about the markets. This information includes pricing data from vendors, exchanges, and brokers; news from the press; as well as internal calculations and other forms of proprietary information used to support crucial decisions.

This Quality Assurance Engineer/ Senior Quality Assurance Engineer position we are seeking will be accountable for the quality of Enterprise Platform for Real-time testing against both functional and non-functional requirements. Sr. QA / QA will works closely with Developers, Support Consultants, and Project Manager in both Bangkok and Oak Brook to achieve expected quality of the product before delivering to customers.

Responsibilities

- Analyse business requirements, design test specifications accordingly, and execute the test either through manaul testing or automation
- Develop test plans, test scope, review test cases, track defects, identify quality risks, and communicate status to ensure that the product meets specified business requirements.
- Lead testing in several TREP projects and often works with personnel in other departments to complete assignments and is expected to become the functional expert on the products under responsibilities (Senior Level)
- Ensures compliance with testing and development methodology and policies
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining testing infrastructure, including test tools and environments
- Document all the test cases and test result including troubleshoot if any
- Report test progress, issues (if any) and problem resolution on regular basis to the management.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT or any related fields.

- 0-5 years experience in Software Development or Testing
- Experience in various operating systems is preferred especially for Solaris and Linux
- Understanding Networking concept, TCP/IP and UDP protocol
- Proficient in Shell Scripting, Tcl/Tk Scripting
- Typical knowledge and experience in all phases of software development life cycle
- Has a systematic, disciplined, and analytical approach with good analytical and problem solving skills
- Dedicated team player with ability and willingness to learn new things
- Good command of English communication skill especially writing and reading

- Thai national or must be legally able to work in Thailand without the company having to obtain a work permit
