Description
Producer, Washington, DC
Produce timely, broadcast quality video stories and scripts for Reuters Television's international audience
Write scripts and detailed shot-lists in iNEWS computer system in accordance with Reuters Television script guidelines, editing video on Avid Newscutter (this includes bringing lesser quality video up to broadcast quality through color correction, editing and audio correction)
Gather content using Reuters resources (arranging and conducting interviews and shoots) and organizing delivery (booking and coordinating fiber/satellite feeds/ftp delivery)
Gather material through North American content partners NBC (using satellites, NBC VOD-video on demand system and fiber feeds) the U.S. Pool (using satellites and fiber feeds) CBC (using CBC Oasis - video on demand system and satellite and fiber feeds).

Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Journalism/Mass Media Communications/Political Science or International Relations or foreign equivalent.
5 years of experience with Bachelors or 1 year of experience with Masters in journalism or television news
Experience writing high quality scripts for international television audience
Use of Avid Newscutter tools, experience with satellite, fiber and FTP newsgathering as well as identifying and producing North American television stories for international audience
