 Lead employee relations matters for North Asia in a manner consistent with the company values, driving a culture of performance and accountability, while complying with local regulations and appropriately managing risk for the company; This role is under corporate Accounting Services.<br/><br/>The jobholder will be assuming responsibility of key accounting components: subsidiary & branch accounting, statutory reporting, year end submissions and other accounting areas, to meet and exceed customer service level agreements for the accounting and control service for business units, providing compliance with Thomson Reuters policy, IFRS and Local Tax & GAAP requirements. The jobholder needs to have the interest, motivation and drive to want to engage various people throughout the local organization to be able to identify business issues/developments and tax exposures.<br/><br/>Essential Day-to-Day Responsibilities:<br/><br/>Statutory and Management Accounting<br/><br/>- To ensure compliance of procedures with Thomson Reuters policies, IFRS and differing regulatory requirements<br/>- To be responsible for:<br/>o statutory accounting (both group and local);<br/>o annual statutory audits (external);<br/>o indirect tax , withholding tax and corporate tax reporting<br/>o internal tax reporting (tax pack reporting, Canadian reporting, tax risks etc)<br/>o maintaining adequate internal reporting and Sarbanes-Oxley control processes and documentation.<br/>o Tax audits , VAT audits, Thailand tax incentive requirements etc.<br/>o Company secretary<br/>- To be a key point of contact for  Thailand on financial information queries and updates and compliance matters<br/>- To provide Ernst & Young with all pre-agreed information required for preparation of  indirect tax, WHT  and Corporate Income Tax and other returns or compliance reporting obligations as required for countries of responsibility in the form of standard reports.<br/>- To review outputs coming from E&Y relating to preparation of withholding tax,vat, corporate  tax returns and any other returns<br/>- To ensure all WHT and VAT reconciliations maintained by GSC /GOFIT are  clean and up to date monthly .<br/>- To review transfer pricing fees calculation from Transfer Pricing Administration Group<br/>- To regularly monitor and update tax compliance and filing logs.<br/>- To work with E&Y or  other service providers  provide additional reports and information as required by tax inspectors and other regulatory bodies.<br/>- To liaise with corporate  secretary and lawyers pertaining to any changes required for the entity.<br/>- To review Balance Sheet reconciliations prepared by the GSC and seek input from local business units (if needed) and ensure that all outstanding items are cleared effectively.<br/>- To ensure that financial /tax opportunities and exposures are uncovered through out the year..<br/>- To act as the interface between GSC , EY and PwC.<br/>- To compile financial schedules and perform various ad hoc projects as required.<br/>- To coordinate region-wide financial activities, including, but not limited to, audits and tax pack.<br/>- To drive continuous process improvement for activities under the Financial Accounting Controllership Team.<br/><br/>At Thomson Reuters, we deliver intelligent information quickly and efficiently, so professionals have knowledge to act.
